How do the movements I do, express what I feel? In what way can I change your mood through my mood? This is the starting point for the dance performance Moving Moment, performed by young dancers from Kirkenes and Nikel together with professional dancers Katja Schia [NO] and Nina Biong [NO].

Pikene på Broen and the German theatre company, Pan.Optikum, are pleased to present 'The Power of Diversity'. Working with young people from Kirkenes and Murmansk, the project incorporates dance and street theatre into a site specific performance at the Kirkenes School during the Barents Spektakel 2016.

The Eastern Sami Museum in Neiden was built in 2009, but has not opened yet due to different problems with the building. Some claim that the reason for the problems is that they have not asked the spirits under the soil for permission to build whilst others say that this custom of asking these spirits is not an Eastern Sami one.

The conflict in Ukraine has shown that media is an important player in east-west tensions. In the west we tend to think that Russian media is an active part in Russian warfare. The question is whether western media is escalating the conflict by doing the exact same thing.
